ZOLL Makes Winning Bid in Chapter 11 Auction
ZOLL Medical Corporation, an Asahi Kasei Company that manufactures medical devices and related software solutions, has announced that it has acquired Vyaire Medical's ventilator business through a Chapter 11 bankruptcy auction.
ZOLL offered $37 million in cash and agreed to take on certain liabilities as part of the acquisition.
The acquisition includes Vyaire's line of ventilators, which are used to provide respiratory support to patients in critical care settings.
The acquisition is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2024, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
